EC 1027
Designed by VÚMS, Zdeněk Korvas et al..It was manufactured from 1985 to 1989 (development 1982-1985) by ZPA Čakovice. The computer was inspired by or was successor to EC 1026. Operating systems running on the computer: DOS IV,DOS V.
Petr Golan, who participated in the development of the EC 1027, stated in a personal development report: "The logical design of the computer was carried out by a group of about 50 people from VÚMS under the ideological leadership of Ing. Zdeněk Korvas, CSc., who was a former graduate student of Antonín Svoboda. Zdeněk Korvas as one one of the few students of Svoboda who did not emigrate to the West in the sixties or seventies. This "hardcore" group, which I had the honor to join in the 1980s, she had hundreds of assistants who took care of the supporting activities without which the computer could not have been created. building component testers, especially for e.g. memory, blank and board testers, cabling, simulation tools, not to mention software from board test generators to to microdiagnostic and system tests of the entire computer, operating system, translators, database programs, etc., etc. In addition, participation in the development of many peripheral devices and who knows what else I have forgotten. At that time, the institute had about a thousand employees, and it was a miracle that all those activities connected and complemented each other. It certainly wouldn't have been possible without people's enthusiasm for the cause (the starting salary of an engineer in the amount of 1450 Czechoslovak crowns certainly could not have been the motivation!). The "Svobodovská" tradition and the experience of key people who were at the birth of the SAPO, EPOS, MSP, MNP 10 and ŘÍP 1000 computers also played their role (Korvas, Černý, Pokorný, Škarda, Fixa, Kučera, Mirtes, etc.)."
