AZJ 6416
Alphanumeric Display Unit, manufactured in ZVT Banská Bystrica, text mode 64x16 characters, connection via parallel interface, DPR card for SPU-800.
It contains only TTL logic, without a microprocessor (similar to, for example, Tesla CM 1601, CM 7202, or Tesla AND-16).
The character set is generated using the MHB2501
In the treatise on the history of the use of computer technology at the FE BUT screen, the entire device was digital, including digital communication between TP8 and AZJ 6416. The monitors were quite faulty, an additional monitor had to be used during repair connected to the TP8. Zdeněk Kotásek developed a tester, which simplified the repairs of the monitors, and the TP8 processor did not have to be used. The tester was implemented by Karel Kappler.
